For the past year, and off-and-on for a few years before that, I've worked from home. I spend most days writing, staring at a screen, talking only to my cats.
Don't worry, I love it. My cats are great conversationalists.
It is nice though, at least every once in a while, to talk to another human. In person, it's even better. My wife gets ambushed every night when she comes home, so I try to get on the water with someone else when I can.
There's no better time to talk. Often, it's after hours of silence, making cast after cast, just thinking in your own head.
Those are some of the best conversations I've ever had.
Go fish, and bring someone with you.
Sleeping in is a waste of daylight. Do what you love––go fishing.
