That's my secret. Every time I tie a new knot I make sure it's pretty. A knot that's perfectly symmetrical, and moistened right before it's fully tightened––that's a knot that inspires confidence. You want a knot you can trust when you're sending a $15 lure flying in the air. When you're hoping a big forty-pound fish, with a mouth full of needle-like teeth, swipes at your favorite lure, a good knot helps to calm the nerves. Some say the fish can feel your confidence or unease. That means a good, pretty knot helps you catch more fish more consistently. Plus, we always need more beauty in this world.
Sleeping in is a waste of daylight. Do what you love––go fishing.
