Toes over the edge. Look down at the water. Take a deep breath. Turn around and fall back. The water is cold––ice cold––and the river smells come up all around you. You're engulfed in it all once again. Back at home after a long walk around. Float on your back in the calm. The magic of the outdoors, summertime, when the whole world comes alive and comes together once again, it's already so close at hand. There will always be dark times, but the outdoors is always a good escape. I hope you have the chance to go fall off a dock soon. ...In only the best of ways.
