Fishing can't save anyone, but the one thing it can do is calm the nerves.
Anytime my life gets a little rocky, I get out on the water and wet a line. The calm, the peace, the concentration, and the slow breathing as you focus––it's all a form of medicine to keep me during tough moments in my life.
It's been like that since I was in high school..
I used to skip class during last period in high school to fish, mostly on Wednesdays when last period was just a study period.
Everything seems like a huge deal to a high schooler, but even just one hour at the lake can be a reset. I have to imagine we could all use a reset right now.
Hang in there. Go fishing if it'll help you get through it.
