Every time I do it I'm sure I look like a nut, but I can't stop doing it.
When I'm on the water, or even just sitting outside on a warm day early in the season, I take a moment to close my eyes and point my face to the sun.
It's like a little meditation.
I only hold my face there for a few seconds, just long enough to feel the warmth on my face and appreciate the weather I've been waiting on for months. It's so easy to take it for granted deeper into the summer, but right now it's still so new. I can't help but want to revel in it a little.
Take a moment this morning, even just a quick few seconds, to stand outside and point your face to the sun. Keep those eyes closed, of course.
Sleeping in is a waste of daylight. Do what you love––go fishing.
