It doesn't matter the color, the size, or the shake: any lure is the right one. Eventually. I'm paraphrasing a string of wisdom from fly fishing writer John Gierarch. It's been my favorite tactic ever since I first read it in his book. I've always written about fish for a living. My career may have caught its spark when I first read that man's books as I was first wetting a line with a fly rod. Ever since it's been a part of why I love the sport: the poetry and the art of it. It also means I'm a fish bum who's too lazy to change a fly. I know it. I accept it.
Sleeping in is a waste of daylight. Do what you love––go fishing.
